Minimum Required Education and Experience:  
  • 'Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.  Advanced degree a significant plus.
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 7+ years).  
  • 5+ years of management responsibility or consulting team
  • Proven leadership skills in cross-functional teams and matrixed organizations managing competing and ever-changing priories – while delivering on overall organizational objectives
  • Experience in core-basic-business management processes with a lot of potential and a variety of experiences to assist with cross-functional management
  • Previous experience in fast pace industries ideal. E.g., tech, automotive, client service organizations, marketing 
  • Broad exposure to the business environment across multiple organizations, multinational experience and experienced in business process optimization
  • Experience managing a high-performing team leveraging organizational leadership to deliver scalable and self-sustain performance improvement
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Deep critical thinking, structured problem solving and analysis skills, ability to develop frameworks to evaluate and recommend cross-functional opportunities, options and solutions.
  • Executive level presentation development and delivery skills.  Familiarity with internal and external cross-functional-business communications and alignment techniques, and ability to learn new techniques and practices (e.g., Minto Pyramid Principle, data visualization practices, Clarity Handbook/Toolkit)
  • Executive presence with demonstrated competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, raw intellectual horsepower and structured critical thinking ability
  • Creative problem solving with the ability to form and articulate options and recommendations qualitatively AND quantitatively
  • Think out of the box, work cross-functionally across the organization, do the analysis/math required to determine the best way to engage and lead our organization (Acurian, Synexus, AES, PPD) to deliver on our client commitments.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance,
  • marketing etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, managerial, and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and lead and participated in a team in a variety of capacity that may be required to ensure timely delivery of timeline assignments and/or resolution to current issues
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Experience with application and technology configuration a plus
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of the clinical trial process a plus
  • Understanding of FDA, cGCP, and ICH guidelines a plus
  • Working knowledge and understanding of drug development and clinical trial process preferred
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. 
  • Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.  
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.   
  • Frequent mobility required. 
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.  
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs. 
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. 
  • Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.   
  • Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals.  Requires multiple periods of intense concentration. 
  • Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.  Ability to perform under stress.  Ability to multi-task.   
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
