Summarized Purpose: 

Provides support for incoming data requests, gathers user requirements and designs the functional specifications for analytical reports, dashboards or analysis.  Creates complex reports, dashboards and data analysis utilizing advanced data analysis tools and techniques.

Essential Functions 

  • Coordinates requests for delivery of reports and dashboards from multiple data sources. 
  • Develops, codes and tests queries and reports based on user-specified criteria against various databases to fulfill user requirements.
  • Applies comprehensive business knowledge and thorough understanding of database structure and capabilities to filter and guide business user requests.
  • Reviews report requests to determine and develop appropriate reporting methods. 
  • Ensures that current business processes and constraints relating to key systems, databases, and tools are understood.
  • Develops guides and conventions to ensure data is entered into key systems, databases and/or tools appropriately to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
  • Delivers and/or supports training to project teams and users on reporting systems and functionality, specifically utilizing pre-defined reports and tools

Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

 

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Developing designed Business Intelligence solutions, using Tableau Software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for presentation of numeric and qualitative information
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and interpret trends within data
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on project work and efficiently bring projects to completion
  • Expertise with data manipulation and visualization tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency in office productivity applications (such as Microsot Word, PowerPoint, Visio, or Excel)
  • Proficiency in database management tools
  • Solid understanding of business processes
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities

Management Role:

No management responsibility 

 

Working Conditions and Environment:

  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day. 
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.  
  • Frequent mobility required.
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.    
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups.  
  • Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals.  Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
  • Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.  Ability to perform under stress.  Ability to multi-task.  
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
