Summarized Purpose:


Manages the HR Delivery function and provides direct support to an assigned business client population in accordance with the strategic objectives of the organization. Advises on business issues impacting recruitment and retention and recommends appropriate resolutions. Directs the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.


Essential Functions:

  • Consults with management on staff relation issues, identifies complex problems and uses independent judgment in resolving problems by interpreting policies and weighing alternative approaches. Provides frequent, high quality, value- added advice and counsel to business team on HR issues.
  • Identifies key HR issues within client groups and ensures efficient delivery of services.
  • Maintains knowledge of the individuals, functions and environment in assigned client groups.
  • Manages HR Delivery programs, ensuring effective communication to client groups and employees.
  • Delivers training programs to management
  • Advises management on HR requirements to support functional objectives.
  • Provides leadership and direction to HR Delivery team.

Qualifications:

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years).
  • 2+ years of management responsibility

Management Role:

 

Manager role with significantly larger management scope (e.g. global or regional responsibilities or multiple departments) OR mastery of manager skills and responsibilities as demonstrated by consistent, multi-year successful performance.  In some instances may be responsible for a functional area (as determined by executive management) and not have subordinate supervisors or employees.



Working Conditions and Environment:

 

  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Frequently drives to site locations and frequently travels both domestic and international.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Moderate mobility required.
  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  •  Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups both internally & externally.
  • Ability to apply basic principles to solve conceptual issues.
  • Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multitask.
