Sr. Manager Commercial Finance- Accelerated Enrollment Solutions (AES)
Education /
Experience:
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.
- 1+ years of management responsibility
- Proven stakeholder leadership and business partnering experience
- Project or outsourced services based accounting/financial management experience is desirable
- Relevant CRO or Biotech/Pharma company experience would be a distinct advantage
- Professional accounting qualification or MBA/degree in finance or business
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrable knowledge of operational aspects associated with Phase II-IV clinical research
- Practical understanding of how financial performance, financial reporting/statements and business cash flow are impacted by budgetary decisions and contractual terms
- Ability to analyze and resolve/make recommendation on often complex, difficult, or uncertain financial and contractual situations, including escalation to relevant stakeholders
- Commercially and financially astute
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize workload and multitask daily
- Ability to focus on customer service goals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office (including minimum of intermediate level proficiency in Excel)
- Attention to detail
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
- Occasional drives to site locations, as well as potential travels both domestic and international.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
- Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
- Moderate mobility required.
- Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
- Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
- Ability to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups both internally & externally.
- Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration.
